Stainless steel tubes are divided into ordinary carbon steel tubes, high-quality carbon structural steel tubes, alloy structural tubes, alloy steel tubes, bearing steel tubes, stainless steel pipes, and bimetal composite tubes, plating and coating tubes to save precious metals and meet special requirements. There are many types of stainless steel tubes, their uses are different, their technical requirements are different, and their production methods are also different. The currently produced steel tubes have an outer diameter range of 0.1-4500mm and a wall thickness range of 0.01-250mm. To distinguish its characteristics, steel tubes are usually classified as follows.

Here is the content list:

Ways to produce.

Stainless steel tubes are divided into seamless tubes and welded tubes according to the production method. Seamless steel tubes can be divided into hot-rolled tubes, cold-rolled tubes, cold-drawn tubes, and extruded tubes. Cold-drawn and cold-rolled are the secondary types of steel tubes. Processing; the welded tube is divided into straight seam welded tube and spiral welded tube.

Section shape.

Stainless steel tubes can be divided into round stainless steel tubes and special-shaped tubes according to the cross-sectional shape. Round stainless steel tube is a hollow long round steel, which is widely used in petroleum, chemical, medical, food, light industry, mechanical instrumentation, and other industrial tube lines and mechanical structural parts. In addition, when the bending and torsion strength are the same, the weight is lighter, so round stainless steel tubes are also widely used in the manufacture of mechanical parts and engineering structures. It is also often used to produce various conventional weapons, barrels, shells, etc. Special-shaped tubes include rectangular tubes, rhombus tubes, oval tubes, hexagonal tubes, octagonal tubes, and various asymmetrical cross-section tubes. Special-shaped tubes are widely used in various structural parts, tools, and mechanical parts. Compared with round stainless steel tubes, special-shaped tubes generally have larger moments of inertia and section modulus and have greater resistance to bending and torsion, which can greatly reduce structural weight and save steel.

Stainless steel tubes can be divided into equal-section tubes and variable-section tubes according to the shape of the longitudinal section. Variable section tubes include tapered tubes, stepped tubes, and periodic section tubes.

Tube end shape.

Stainless steel tubes can be divided into smooth tubes and threaded tubes (threaded steel tubes) according to the state of the tube ends. The threaded tube can be divided into the ordinary threaded tube (tubes for conveying water, gas, and other low pressure, which are connected by ordinary cylindrical or tapered tubes) and special threaded tubes (tubes for petroleum and geological drilling. For important threaded tubes, use a Special thread connection). For some special tubes, to compensate for the influence of the thread on the strength of the tube end, the tube end is usually thickened (internal thickening, external thickening, or internal and external thickening) before turning the wire.

Use classification.

According to the purpose, Stainless steel tubes can be divided into oil well tubes (casing, tubing, and drill tubes, etc.), line tubes, boiler tubes, mechanical structure tubes, hydraulic prop tubes, gas cylinder tubes, geological tubes, chemical tubes (high-pressure fertilizer tubes, petroleum cracking tubes, etc.), and ship tubes.

It is the responsibility of each manufacturer to produce stainless steel tube that meets the standards, to ensure the safety of the healthy development of the stainless steel tube market. If you are in the stainless steel tube business, you can consider our cost-effective products.
